The Final Show of the Kid's View work opened at Prairie Gallery on December 16th, 2009. Many students, families and community members attended the show and viewed the work.

We photographed models from Visionaries and Voices with lighting equipment in our studio. Others went to Happen Inc.'s open studio and to the new indoor Farmer's Market and to the CAIN Food Pantry.

This week one group went to COGO, the children's organic garden in Over the Rhine to learn about community gardening. Another group went to the CAIN Food Pantry where we photographed different types of donations. A third group got to go the Happen Toy Lab to see toys being made from recycled parts!

While one group photographed at the Northside Farmer's Market, Brendan went to Happen and captured tons of images of families working together. Another group went to the Visionaries and Voices Fashion Show at the Kingsgate Marriott and acted as professional press photographers to photograph the show!

While some students worked on editing photographs in the Prairie studio, others went to the sites of our four partner organizations. Students learned about fashion design at V+V, food budgeting at CAIN, garden cooperatives at the Market, and photographed families creating together at Happen Inc.

We divided into four groups and went to the Northside Farmer's Market to photograph the market, CAIN, and Happen Inc.'s activity. Another group went to the Visionaries and Voices Tri-County Studio.

We had a rainy day in the studio and learned about composition and line. We photographed each other and a still life we created using lighting equipment.

We learned about how to capture natural light and view the world as photographers. Next we took pictures at Hoffner Park.
