Week 8:

Our shoot in Sharon Woods was rained out so we made a rainy day a play day at Prairie. Many "interesting" poses and images came out of some very creative shooting at the studio.

Week 7:

We worked in the darkroom to develop our film and images from our trip to Solway Park and Laughing Brook.

Week 6:

We traveled to Solway Park to learn about the Laughing Brook water runoff treatment facility and landscaping. We also learned about testing creek water for oxygen content and discovered a very interesting shopping cart partly submerged in the creek!

Week 5:

We worked in the darkroom to develop and print our images from Mill Creek Road Bridge and the Lick Run Combined Sewer Overflow.

Week 4:

We traveled to the Lick Run Combined Sewer Overflow and the Mill Creek Road Bridge to photograph some of the most industrialized sections of the Mill Creek. We discovered a mysterious culvert under the bridge which provided some great photo opportunties.

Week 3:

We worked in the photo lab at Prairie to print the images we shot last class at Caldwell Park. One group worked on developing the film from pinhole cameras and the other group worked on printing their images.

Week 2:

We traveled to Caldwell Park just before the rain and snow came down to see work being done by Mill Creek Restoration Project on a hiking trail and a bank restoration project. Next week we'll work in the lab to develop the images.

Week 1:

We learned about camera obscuras and how to use pinhole cameras. Here are some images from our exploration . Stay tuned for prints from our pinhole cameras.
